1. About our products:
What is the lead level in dinnerware?
No need to worry - all of our dinnerware is tested at the factory as well as at private laboratories to guarantee that they meet the FDA requirements.
How long does a pattern usually remain in production?
Not surprisingly, the decision about how long we continue to produce a pattern depends on how well the pattern sells. If a pattern falls below a certain profit level worldwide, then it becomes no longer feasible to produce it and the pattern is discontinued.
Why are the colors different from the pieces I purchased three years ago?
In spite of meticulous quality control, colors lots do change over long periods of time. In addition, some of our dinnerware is hand-painted; since no two artists paint with exactly the same touch, colors may vary, offering a subtle one-of-a-kind individuality that many people find highly desirable.
Why do some of my plates vary in thickness?
When a mold is brand new, the plates it produces tend to be slightly thicker; once the mold has been used over a period of time, the plates begin to thin down. However, the factory allows for only a minimal depth difference. Once it reaches that difference, the mold is destroyed.
Is all of your dinnerware dishwasher safe?
Yes, all Wedgwood dinnerware is dishwasher safe, but be careful not to use more detergent than is recommended by the manufacturer. The powder detergents that we recommend are Cascade and Dishwasher All; for liquid detergent, try Palmolive regular or lemon. These detergents have been tested at our factory and were found to be gentle enough for fine Wedgwood tableware.
Is it safe to put bone china into a microwave oven?Dinnerware of all types can be safely used in microwave ovens, for heating purposes only, except for patterns decorated in gold or platinum. We recommend that you do not heat them any longer than two or three minutes.
Is it safe to put bone china into an oven?The safe way to heat food on our dinnerware is to place it in a cold oven and allow it to heat gradually to a warming 100 degrees. Under no circumstances should dinnerware be exposed to heat from a naked flame or to rapid changes in temperature.
What is causing black marks across the surface of my dinnerware?New silver and other soft metals sometimes cause marks which look like cracks. These can be removed easily and will usually not recur. Simple mix a small amount of silver paste polish with Bon Ami scouring powder and rub vigorously on the marks with a damp paper towel or sponge.
How do I prevent scratches on my dinnerware?Use care when stacking plates, as the jolting of heavy piles can cause scratching of the glaze. It is best to avoid this problem altogether by placing a paper towel or cloth mat between plates. Also, avoid using serrated knives. Finally, when taking your dinnerware out of the cupboard, always life it rather than slide it--sliding can cause scratching.
Do Wedgwood soup tureens come with ladles?Sorry, our soup tureens do not come with ladles to match. We recommend that you use either a sterling silver or stainless steel ladle.

Can I purchase a WedgwoodUSA.com gift certificate?
Always the perfect choice! Our gift certificates are sent securely to the recipient via email and are redeemable online at any time. The recipient can use all or part of the gift certificate at once, and we will maintain the balance. Or the recipient can use the entire gift certificate toward a larger purchase and pay the balance with a credit card. We're sorry, gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.
Does WedgwoodUSA.com have a bridal registry?
WedgwoodUSA.com does not have a bridal registry. However, our informative Wedding section includes a Wish List that brides can use to save products in which they are interested and email that list to friends and family.
How do I ship to more than one address?
We accommodate multiple shipping addresses in our checkout process. Shipping is charged for each address.
Does WedgwoodUSA.com support international orders?
We are sorry, but we do not currently ship outside of the US, to Puerto Rico, to Guam, or to APO addresses.
What is "My Account"?
My Account holds information for registered members, including an online Address Book, stored billing information, and Order History details.
Why should I register as a member?

Where can I see what I've ordered in the past?
Registered members can view their Order History through the "My Account" section. Unregistered customers who checkout as a guest cannot see their order histories.

Yes, here. The section is called "Patterns," you can find it in the navigation bar across the top of the page. You can see all of our pattern names and also see the products on our site associated with that pattern.
